Nervous Investor

Age: 70’s

Goal: Don’t run out of money in retirement

The Challenge:

When we met Steve 20 years ago, he was nervous. Really nervous. He had been invested in the market for a while, but it was highly stressful to him. His previous advisor, financial media, and constant checking of account statements left him with confusion, stress, and uncertainty about what he should be doing with his retirement money.

Our Approach:

Through a holistic planning process, we showed Steve that there are multiple aspects that affect his financial plan: taxes, inflation, and volatility, to name a few. When it came time to construct his investment portfolio, we relied on Nobel Prize winning research on portfolio design to help Steve pursue a return that was both reliable AND helped him to pursue his financial goals.

The Results:

Through years of working together, Steve is now relaxed and confident that he is on track for his financial goals. He no longer worries about his investment portfolio because he knows what he can expect from his diversified portfolio. He has now lived through 2 bear markets with our firm and has calmly stayed invested the whole time.
