A Change in Season
This time of year always feels like a reset.
At least here in Chicago, the weather finally starts to turn. The days get a little longer, the sun shows up more consistently, and people start coming out of hibernation after a long winter. Windows get opened, garages get cleaned out, and there is a natural pull to get things back in order.
We call it spring cleaning.
And while most of that effort is focused on closets, basements, and garages, it is also one of the best times of the year to do a little spring cleaning in your financial life. Because just like your home, your financial plan benefits from a periodic reset.
Spring Cleaning for your Finances
This does not have to be complicated.
In fact, the goal is the opposite. A simple review, a few thoughtful adjustments, and a chance to make sure everything is still aligned with where you want to go.
Here are a few areas worth revisiting this time of year.

A Simple Reset
The goal here is not perfection. It is simply taking a little time to reset, refocus, and make sure everything is working the way it should. Much like cleaning out a closet or organizing a garage, the process itself creates clarity. And that clarity makes it easier to move forward with confidence. So as the weather warms up and you start tackling a few projects around the house, consider adding your financial plan to the list. This is a natural time to make sure your financial plan is running the way it should before you check out and enjoy all that summertime has to offer.
